Despite the long history of feminist theory and research spanning decades and even centuries, social debates surrounding gender and social inequality, dominance, privilege, and oppression continue to be pertinent. In "Modern Talking" series
of works, I draw inspiration from the French artist Jean-Étienne Liotard's "The Chocolate Girl" —painting and touch upon my reflections on how
a contemporary artist could address the issues
of women's body, diversity and tolerance through
the medium of art.
